Pricing questions
- What counts as a domain?
- One website origin: its protocol and hostname, such as https://example.com. A subdomain or the www variant is a separate domain, because each serves its own robots.txt.
- What does the Free plan include?
- The same complete audit as every paid plan, with no account needed to run it. With a free account you can save 1 domain, rescan it manually 2 times a month and keep 30 days of history. Free has no automatic monitoring.
- Is billing monthly or yearly?
- Paid plans can be billed monthly or yearly; you choose at checkout. Yearly billing costs up to 18% less than twelve monthly payments. Prices are in USD.
- How are taxes handled?
- Paddle is the merchant of record. It calculates any applicable tax during checkout and issues receipts.
- What happens if I reach my plan's domain limit?
- You can't save another domain until you remove one or move to a plan with a higher limit. Running free audits of other domains still works.
- How do upgrades and downgrades work?
- An upgrade, or a switch from monthly to yearly billing, takes effect immediately; Paddle charges a prorated amount, which you see before confirming. A downgrade, or a switch from yearly to monthly, takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you can cancel it before then.
- What happens to my domains and history after a plan change?
- Saved domains stay in your account. Monitoring frequency follows the new plan, and automatic monitoring stops on Free. Scan history older than the new plan's retention period is removed by the daily retention job; each domain's latest scan is always kept.
- How do I cancel, and can I get a refund?
- Cancel through Paddle's customer portal, linked from your account's billing page. When Paddle reports the subscription as cancelled, expired or paused, your account moves to Free. Refunds are decided by Paddle as merchant of record — contact support to ask about one.
